extreme makeover: bunny edition

You may remember our adventures with the Traveling Bunny from my previous post in July. Just in case you don't, you can catch up on bunny's bio by reading here.

When Bunny arrived at our house on July 4, he looked like this:

Normally, Bunny would have hopped right back over to the Malahy's house after a few days of rest. But when Bunny arrived at our house in July, it was pitifully obvious that he had suffered quite a bit of abuse over the course of his travels. Things were faded and falling off...it wasn't pretty...

Last weekend, Bunny decided that the time was right to head back to the Malahy's house. He was especially excited about going to Carter's party. Sadly, however, we forgot to take him with us. We didn't have the heart to tell him that he wasn't dressed for such a fancy occasion anyway.

David and I felt Bunny definitely deserved a little Extreme Makeover before his Labor Day return to our friends' house.

The first step in his Extreme Makeover called for a little surgery. We took off the tacky blue painter's tape that had been hastily put on him in a half-hearted attempt to HIDE THE NEGLECT he had endured (shameful). We then (very gently) screwed him back together. Cause that's just the kind of people we are.

After Bunny's surgery, he was treated to a wardrobe make-over in preparation for the Big Reveal. Lovely, don't you think?

Bunny is finally ready for his Labor Day Weekend Reveal. Hopefully, the Malahy's won't abuse him too terribly this time.

My comment is- retire the poor bunny. He's obviously homeless and has no one that loves him. Just let him rest in peace. :)
