i can make that!

I read this cute little crafty blog called Just a Girl and decided to add my latest pregnancy-induced-crafty-madness to her partay. 'Cause who doesn't love a party?

Especially a crafty party.

Here 'ya go:
If you're like me, you hate to throw away Christmas cards/photos after the season is over. I found a couple of cute ideas for preserving those cards/photos and thought that I'd share them with you.

I found this idea somewhere...probably a crafting magazine... and thought it was such a cute idea for preserving Christmas cards.

First, I cut last year's Christmas cards into circles using my scrapbooking circle cutter.
Since I didn't have very many Christmas cards to choose from, I cut some festive Scrapbook paper into circles as well.

Then, I wrapped a wire floral wreath form using 1 1/2" strips of wrapping paper.

Next, I hot glued the circles onto the wreath form. I varied the size and color of my circle placement to keep things interesting.

I had plenty of room for more circles, and plan on adding more circles from this year's Christmas cards. The wreath should look nice and full by the time Christmas rolls around!

I can't claim the following idea as my own, but I loved it and thought that it would be fun to add to the post:

Preserve your friends/family Christmas photos by punching holes in the corner and adding them to a binder ring. Then add a little cuteness by tying ribbon on the ring. I cut several different kinds of ribbon and tied them to the ring to mix it up a little.

I plan on having a ring for ever year. It's a great way to look back on Christmases Past.

Lastly, I found this idea on another blog and LOVED it, so I recreated one or two to give away as Christmas gifts this year.

First, I bought a precut wood form at Michael's.
Then I spray painted the board with Chalkboard paint
Next, I drilled two holes in the top and ran pretty ribbon through the holes.
I'm going to write "Merry Christmas" in chalk and include a sweet little easel in the gift.

I don't know how you do it, but you find the BEST stuff to make. And once you break it down and I see how you do it, it doesn't seem all that daunting anymore. Love these!
